As I mentioned on the About page, the term [Type One] of Type One of a Kind is in reference to my life as a Type One Diabetic.
After being diagnosed just two months after my 18th birthday, I quickly realized that I was going to be tested to find what I’m made of and how strong I really am.
After working through the daily struggles, navigating the healthcare system and understanding all the different elements of T1D, I thought it best to pass along the knowledge I’ve gained. I am certainly don’t know everything when it comes to T1D and there is plenty that I have to learn as my journey progresses with this disease, but I am here to be honest and will always tell it like it is.
